DESCRIPTION:Discovery Weekend is a Middle School retreat\, hosted and held at Trinity United Methodist Church on March 6-8. At Discovery\, your relationship with God is the focus. This is why we worship in new and creative ways that help you examine your life and understand the depth of God’s love. It’s a weekend where you are not only encouraged to be you\, but where you might find out more than you ever knew about who you really are! \nIt’s a jam-packed weekend full of games\, small groups\, incredible worship\, funny videos\, skits\, DJs\, great eats\, messages from High School Seniors\, and so much more. Parents\, don’t worry though\, this is NOT a lock-in. We want your students to get as much rest during Discovery as possible so that they can fully participate and share in the weekend! \n \n\nLearn a little more about Discovery Weekend\nCost: Super Early Bird Rate is $129 for Middle Schoolers and $109 for High Schoolers. At Discovery Weekend\, ‘cost’ will never be a reason for students to NOT attend this important weekend. We have partial and full scholarships available for any student in need. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars and make plans to join us for the Trinity West Glow Parade on Sunday\, November 16. We are going to light up West Homewood! Last year’s Glow Parade was such a hit that we hope this year can be even better. This parade is unlike so many others because we don’t want spectators. We want you to join in! A parade is to celebrate something great is happening\, and we think something great is happening at Trinity West Homewood.\n\nThe parade will begin by gathering down at Seeds Coffee at 5:00 pm where everyone will don their glow gear. And don’t worry\, we will have plenty of lights and glow sticks for everyone that needs them! The parade will start shortly after that as we head down Oak Grove Road. The route will end at the Trinity West Homewood front lawn where we will have a huge tailgate set up with inflatables\, food\, and music.\n\n\nWho can glow?\nEveryone! There is no age or species limit. We want all of our friends in West Homewood and beyond to participate in this parade because we think something great is happening and it needs to be celebrated.\nDo I need to bring my own glow materials?\nWe will certainly have glow materials aplenty to go around\, but we hope you will get creative and bring some glow stuff of your own too! Amazon\, Target and Dollar Tree are great places to start with your glow material\, but if you can’t find any or you don’t get it\, don’t worry! We are ready to help you GLOW.\nWhat can I glow?\n\n 	Strollers\n 	Bikes\n 	Wagons\n 	Golf Carts\n 	Pets\n 	Wheelchairs\n 	Your Friends\n 	Yourselves!!\n\nCan I leave my car at TWH before the parade?\nYES! Come and park at TWH before the parade begins\, and we will be shuttling people in our bus down to the starting location. We will stop running the bus at 4:20. Beginning at 6:00 we will have regular runs back to Seeds Coffee so you can get to your cars safely. 👍🏼\nBe a Glow Parade Volunteer\n\n\n\nTailgate Hosts\nWe will also be needing folks to host a tent and provide a treat. Go ahead and reserve your tent and tailgate food of choice below!\nBe A Tailgate Host!\n\nWhat all will be provided to tailgate hosts?\n\n 	Table\n 	Plates\n 	Utensils\n 	Drinks\n 	Napkins\n 	Tents (if needed\, but if you can bring your own\, we would appreciate it!)\n\nWhen can I set up my tailgate?\nYou can begin setting your tailgate at 3:00 pm that afternoon which gives you plenty of time to make it to the parade following. DESCRIPTION:We are so excited about our upcoming Hub Night\, a collaborative event with our Trinity Outreach Hub\, hosted at our Trinity West Homewood Campus (located at 914 Oak Grove Rd. Homewood\, AL 35209). We will begin with a brief dinner ($3 per person)\, followed by worship and a message from Mary Liz Ingram\, our Outreach Coordinator\, as she shares about our Outreach Hub and all the ways that it impacts our community. \nAfter that\, the scavenger hunt begins! Participants will be grouped by grade and gender and led by our dedicated adult leaders and staff. Together\, we’ll explore designated streets\, either by foot or shuttle\, gathering items to support our neighbors at the Outreach Hub. DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: This event has been canceled\nIn light of the recent announcement that Birmingham-Southern College will be closing at the conclusion of the Spring 2024 semester\, and out of the utmost respect for the BSC faculty and staff\, the UNITED Planning Team has decided that it is best to cancel our in-person spring gathering so as to alleviate any undo stress for the BSC community. \n\nUnited Methodist Youth is a collective of youth workers across North Alabama\, whose goal is to continue to unify our churches and youth ministries through networking\, resourcing and worship. All youth ministries of the UMCNA (students\, youth workers\, and adult volunteers alike) are invited to join together in a month-long series\, and within the month\, gather together for fellowship and worship at Birmingham-Southern College. \nJoin us in April for Christianity 101 as we engage in interactive sessions to deepen our understanding of fundamental Christian principles. Partnering with Rise Against Hunger\, we’ll pack over 20\,000 meals\, embodying core Christian values of love and compassion.
