This night is not about labels or denominations. DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to officially kick off fall and football with the Element Tailgate Party! This event will be held on Sunday\, August 30\, from 6:00-8:00 pm in small parking lot of our Oxmoor Campus. \n\nPARENTS\, WE NEED YOU!\nThis is one of our biggest nights of the fall and we would love to have our parents a part of the night! We are aiming to have 40+ tents with tailgate treats and need your help to pull off this important and fun event for our students. \nHere’s what to do: \n\nChoose ONE food – anything goes! Nachos\, popcorn\, wings\, chicken fingers\, buffalo dip\, sliders\, fries and toppings\, sausage balls\, mac & cheese\, tater tot bar\, hot dogs\, chips and salsa\, cookie assortment\, mini cupcakes\, banana pudding\, ice cream…just to name a few ideas\, but the possibilities are endless. We’ve linked a cheat sheet below with other ideas too!\nLet us know what you’re bringing on the Sign Up Genius.\nMake enough SMALL servings for 80 students.\nDecorate a tailgate tent and show your team colors!\nSet up and serve on the night. Setup begins as early as 4:45PM and all tents need to be ready to go by 5:30 pm.\n\nNeed power? A tent?  Not a problem – just let us know when you sign up. We’ll provide the table\, tablecloth\, and plates/forks – you’re welcome to serve your treat in something else if you’d like. \nEnlist the help of friends! Bring the little ones! Enjoy fellowship with other Element families! This is a super fun night and one you won’t want to miss. Please sign up as soon as you have a food in mind so we can avoid duplicates. DESCRIPTION:Discovery Weekend is a Middle School retreat\, hosted and held at Trinity United Methodist Church on March 6-8. At Discovery\, your relationship with God is the focus. This is why we worship in new and creative ways that help you examine your life and understand the depth of God’s love. It’s a weekend where you are not only encouraged to be you\, but where you might find out more than you ever knew about who you really are! \nIt’s a jam-packed weekend full of games\, small groups\, incredible worship\, funny videos\, skits\, DJs\, great eats\, messages from High School Seniors\, and so much more. Parents\, don’t worry though\, this is NOT a lock-in. We want your students to get as much rest during Discovery as possible so that they can fully participate and share in the weekend! \n \n\nLearn a little more about Discovery Weekend\nCost: Super Early Bird Rate is $129 for Middle Schoolers and $109 for High Schoolers. At Discovery Weekend\, ‘cost’ will never be a reason for students to NOT attend this important weekend. We have partial and full scholarships available for any student in need. All youth ministries of the UMCNA (students\, youth workers\, and adult volunteers alike) are invited to join together in a month-long series\, and within the month\, gather together for fellowship and worship at Birmingham-Southern College. \nJoin us in April for Christianity 101 as we engage in interactive sessions to deepen our understanding of fundamental Christian principles.
