Whether you’re new to pottery or looking to try something fresh\, this intimate\, hands-on workshop is a meaningful way to explore creativity and faith in community. \nLed by talented Birmingham potter\, Melinda Storey\, this three-part class invites six participants to craft an 8-inch flower-impressed plate and a faith-inspired magnet. Melinda brings both skill and heart to her instruction\, and you’ll also have the support of experienced members from the Trinity Pottery Guild along the way. \n\nClass Details:\nSession 1: Monday\, August 11 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM\nLearn how to roll out slabs of clay\, use plate molds\, and press in real flowers to create beautiful\, textured pieces. Instruction led by Melinda Storey and Trinity Pottery Guild members. \nSession 2: Individual Appointments\nParticipants will schedule a one-on-one studio visit to clean and refine their leather-hard plates in preparation for bisque firing. \nSession 3: Tentative – August 24\nGather again with Melinda and the Guild to glaze your bisque-fired creations and bring your pieces to life with color. \n– \nCost: $40 per participant. You’ve reached an important milestone in your faith journey…it is time for you to receive a complete Bible of your own! \nWe are planning a special day to honor you and give you your new Bible on Sunday\, August 24 at 9:45 am. 3rd graders and their families are invited to join us in the Sanctuary in lieu of Sunday School that morning. Please RSVP and let us know to be watching out for you! \nSpecial note: adults\, choose your favorite Bible verse and be prepared to share that with your 3rd grader. You can also include grandparents\, special teachers\, neighbors (anyone who is special to your child) to participate by sharing their Bible verse with your TrinityKids so they can mark it in their new Bible.
